Physiotherapists from Turkmenistan and Germany held an online meeting to discuss advanced developments in the medical field and their practical application. The venue of the meeting was the Training and Research Center of the Ministry of Health of Turkmenistan.
Currently, medical diplomacy in the country is going through a period of intensive development as one of the key areas of policy implemented by the Leader of the Turkmen Nation. The state has rich experience in establishing practical contacts between representatives of medicine and taking effective steps in scientific and informational interaction and resolving healthcare problems. The long-standing Turkmen-German partnership in the field of human health is among the examples that confirm this.
The German side was represented by Dr. Annegret Kern-Soso. The participants of the online talks reviewed progressive scientific developments in the medical field and their practical application. The sides noted that Turkmen clinics and medical institutions are well equipped and deeply interested in bringing innovations in medicine to life. By developing international cooperation, the state ensures the opportunity to preserve the health of its people.
Medical doctors of Turkmenistan and Germany are in continuous direct contact. German professors pass on their experience to their Turkmen colleagues. For example, in February there was a meeting with urologist Friedrich Kempter to discuss issues of urolithiasis - its prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
On the second day of the online physiotherapy conference, a consultative meeting was held with Dr. Roland Weelken, a nephrologist. The German physicians discussed with their Turkmen colleagues a number of topical issues of nephrology, touching primarily on the problems of renal failure, its early detection and treatment.
