The Turkmen delegation headed by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov took part in a business breakfast with business representatives of Japan on January 22. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen side noted the fruitful cooperation in the implementation of joint projects in energy, extraction of mineral resources, chemical industry and transportation. It was noted that the visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan in 2022 and the meeting with leading Japanese businessmen are of special significance in deepening the bilateral partnership.
In the course of the meeting, issues related to the involvement of Japanese business in the export of high value-added goods were discussed. They discussed topical issues of project financing, exchange of experience in the field of "green" technologies, creation of high-tech industries, participation of small and medium-sized enterprises of both countries in the implementation of joint projects. The Japanese side expressed interest in cooperation in infrastructure development and energy transition.
