On January 22, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Ken Saito. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The agenda was to strengthen cooperation in the trade and economic sphere. The successful implementation of joint projects was noted during the negotiations.
As a result of the meeting, 4 Memoranda of Understanding and Cooperation were signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan: on the implementation of the energy transition, on the design and construction of the Second Complex on the basis of the Gasoline from Gas Plant in the Ahal province, on the implementation of Technical Services and Provision of the "Marykarbamid" Plant to bring it to its design capacity, as well as on the Framework Contracts for the Provision and Maintenance of the Gasoline from Gas Plant in the Ahal province.
