Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan meets with the Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation

On December 5, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin met with Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, who is in the Russian Federation on a working visit. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Russian side noted the dynamic development of bilateral Turkmen-Russian relations. They expressed hope for fruitful joint work on the preparation and holding of the Second Interparliamentary Forum of the Central Asian countries and Russia.

The Turkmen side expressed interest in continuing effective partnership within the framework of international organizations, where a rich experience of constructive interaction has been accumulated so far. In addition, the meeting focused on trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
