Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected preparations for the UN conference in Avaza NTZ

Working visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag to the Balkan velayat

Ashgabat, July 25 - Arzuw.news. National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Balkan province to familiarize himself with the preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in August in the Avaza National Tourist Zone. This is reported by the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.

During the trip, Hero-Arkadag visited Turkmenbashi International Airport, where he studied the conditions created to welcome the participants of the international forum in accordance with the traditions of Turkmen hospitality. The National Leader inspected the passport and customs control points and familiarized himself with the new household equipment delivered to the airport.

Special attention was paid to the condition of runways of the international airport. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov personally tested the quality of pavement of aviation infrastructure in a high-speed sports car.

Within the framework of the National Program of Civil Aviation Development until 2030, international airports equipped with modern equipment and technologies have been put into operation in the country.

The National Leader also visited the venue of cultural events at the Avaza NTZ, where conditions are being created for gala concerts using LED screens and interactive fountains. During a cruise on the Caspian Sea on the Hero-Arkadag vessel, he familiarized himself with the characteristics of various watercraft to ensure the safety of the forum participants.

During the working meeting on the organization of the conference, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the need to improve the Avaza NTZ, create proper conditions in hotels and ensure security of the event. Special attention was paid to the organization of cultural and humanitarian programs, including a friendship concert and a festival of national dishes on the occasion of the national days of Central Asian countries.

Earlier, on July 4, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree "On holding the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries". The Government of Turkmenistan and the UN signed an agreement on holding the international forum.

The conference will take place in 2025, declared by the UN General Assembly as the "International Year of Peace and Trust".
