Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov meets with the Sheikh of Qatar in Ashgabat

On Monday, February 20, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Sheikh Faisal bin Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani, a member of the Sheikh family of Qatar. The meeting was held in Ashgabat, at the "Maslahat köşgi" Palace. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Sheikh thanked for hospitality and conveyed welcoming words from the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in his return greeting conveyed best wishes to the Emir and emphasized Turkmenistan's readiness to strengthen comprehensive cooperation with Qatar.

The parties noted the priority areas of mutually beneficial partnership, among which were fuel energy, IT sphere, industry, agriculture, transport communications.

At the end of the meeting, the Sheikh invited Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to visit Qatar at any convenient time.
