A collection of Makhtumkuli's poems in the Uzbek language was presented at the IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

A collection of selected poems by Makhtumkuli Fraghi translated into Uzbek was presented at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on October 16. This is reported by the Internet edition "AsmanNews.

The event was attended by representatives of the Academies of Sciences of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Ashgabat, teachers and students of the university, journalists.
In addition, an exhibition of works by Turkmen, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Uzbek and Kazakh masters was organized in the foyer of the Institute.

Speakers during the presentation noted the close ties between the Turkmen poet and Uzbekistan. At present, monuments to Makhtumkuli have been erected in Tashkent and Khiva, and filmmakers from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan made a joint movie about his life and works. It was noted that in this regard, the publication of Makhtumkuli's poems in Uzbek language is of special significance.
