Turkmenistan's first "smart" city Arkadag has been equipped with electric transportation that meets high environmental standards. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The new city has an extensive road structure equipped with an intelligent ITS system capable of efficiently regulating traffic flows. Implementation of the smart road system helps ensure safety and efficiency for all road users.
Eco-friendly public transportation - electric buses and electric cabs - is provided for guests and residents of the city. Modern terminals have been created for cashless payment and online ordering. To avoid traffic jams, "smart" routes, parking lots and charging stations for electric vehicles have been developed. Thanks to special sensors, it becomes possible to quickly find a free space and efficiently regulate the operation of parking lots.
