Pattern Beautiful" koshmoval competition was held in Ashgabat

The traditional annual koshmoving contest "Pattern Beautiful" was held in the Turkmen capital. This is reported by the Internet edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly.".

In the first stage of the competition, the participants demonstrated their skills in preparing for making a koshma, the national felt carpet. The second stage consisted of making a 1.5 meter long and 1 meter wide koshma. According to the terms of the contest, the craftswomen had to create an ornament, traditional for their region.

In accordance with the conditions of the third round, the contestants shared stories, legends and sayings about the patterns of the national felt carpet. The contestants representing Bagtyyarlyk and Bezmein etrap of Ashgabat city made it to the final round of the contest, which is scheduled for the end of July this year.
