The 12th Korean Ambassador's Taekwondo Cup organized by the National Taekwondo Center of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the Korean Embassy started on August 24 at the Olympic City Martial Arts Center in Ashgabat. This is reported by the online edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".
During the opening ceremony of the tournament, Korean Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ji Kyu-Tek made a speech, noting that the competitions contribute to strengthening cultural ties and mutual understanding between the countries. He expressed gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their personal contribution to the development of this sport in Turkmenistan.
The competition was attended by 180 athletes from different provinces of Turkmenistan. The taekwondo tournament lasted for two days - August 24 and 25.
