Turkmen chess players are preparing for the upcoming major international competitions this year. This is reported by the Internet edition "AsmanNews.
In September this year, the 45th World Chess Olympiad will be held in Budapest with participation of women's and men's teams of Turkmenistan. In September, the Turkmenistan team will also take part in the Mikhail Botvinnik Cup in Moscow. Turkmenistan will be represented in the under-14 age group.
The Chess Federation of Turkmenistan will hold a "tournament of four" in late August in preparation for international competitions. The participants of the tournament will be the women's national team, juniors of age groups up to 14 and up to 20 years old and a team of coaches-masters. The competitions will be held on a round-robin basis, which will be an excellent training for Turkmen athletes before the prestigious competitions.
