Turkmen athletes won four medals at the International Grand Prix of Sambo

The international Grand Prix sambo tournament for the Cup of the Governor of Krasnodar Krai has ended in Krasnodar, where Turkmen sambo wrestlers won four bronze medals. This is reported in the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

More than 100 athletes from Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan took part in the competitions. Turkmenistan was represented by seven athletes in combat and sport sambo in different weight categories.

Four out of seven Turkmen sambo wrestlers won bronze awards. They were sports school coach Abdulla Babaev in the weight category up to 71 kg, student Vyacheslav Ishkhanyan in the category up to 88 kg, student Bezirgen Begendzhov in the category up to 98 kg and employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan Charimyrat Annagurbanov in the category over 98 kg.
