A National Chamber of Advocates will be established in Turkmenistan within the framework of the project "Capacity Building of Bar Associations in Turkmenistan" with the support of UNDP and the British Embassy in the country, the relevant Agreement has been signed. The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of the Bar Associations of Turkmenistan in the context of providing legal aid according to international standards. The project will contribute to the implementation of the National Action Plan "Improving the System of Bar Associations".
The Chamber of Advocates is designed to represent and protect the interests of lawyers, coordinate the activities of bar associations in the regions and the capital of Turkmenistan, and resolve issues that directly affect the interests of the advocates' community. In addition, UNDP will support the digitalization of the activities of the Bar Associations.
