The International Conference of Ministers of Culture from Asian and European countries dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi has opened in Ashgabat's Yildiz Hotel. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.

The event is also attended by representatives of TURKSOY, UN, CIS and other authoritative organizations. In parallel with the conference, an exhibition was opened, where decorative and applied arts, fine arts and photography, books of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, collections of poems by Makhtumkuli Fraghi are presented.

The conference participants heard a welcoming address by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who noted that the international forum plays an important role in popularizing the creative heritage of Makhtumkuli Fraghi.
