In Turkmenistan, the volume of mortgage lending increased by 7.4%

On July 14 this year, an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan was held, during which Chairman of the Central Bank T. Myalikov presented to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov a report on the results of work for the first and second quarters of 2023. This is reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The Central Bank Chairman's report contains figures on the total balance of loans issued by financial institutions compared to the same period last year, which rose by 5.1%.

The volume of issued loans to the non-government sector increased by 13.8%, to individuals - by 19.5%, to agricultural producers - by 15%. The volume of mortgage loans increased by 7.4%. The total income of banks increased by 1.7% compared to the first half of 2022.
