Turkmenistan organized a visit to a correctional labor institution for foreign diplomatic missions

At the request of the heads of diplomatic missions of Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Romania and the United States, as well as the EU Delegation, a visit to a correctional labor institution in the Akhal province of Turkmenistan was organized. This was reported by the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan has adopted important legal and regulatory instruments in the humanitarian sphere within the framework of the Convention on Human Rights. As part of international cooperation, the Government is improving the prison system through the exchange of experience and the practical implementation of the rules of international humanitarian law.

In this connection, the State regularly organizes visits to correctional labour institutions for foreign diplomatic missions and representatives of international organizations.
