A course on tuberculosis treatment from WHO and USAID was held in Turkmenistan

A training course on tuberculosis treatment was held in Turkmenistan, attended by TB specialists from the Department of Infectious Diseases Centers and staff of the Tuberculosis Department of the M. Karriyev Turkmen Medical University. The five-day training event for doctors was organized by WHO and USAID. This is reported by the Internet edition “Türkmenistan Habarlar Portaly".

The workshops discussed new methods of TB diagnosis, different approaches to treatment of different types of TB in children and adults, as well as clinical cases of short therapy regimens.

The course provided TB treatment specialists with an extensive platform for constructive dialog and exchange of views, which helped to strengthen collaboration and develop advanced strategies to treat the disease.
