Cotton harvesting campaign started in Turkmenistan

With the blessing of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, cotton harvesting campaign started in Turkmenistan on September 11. The first caravans of cars and tractors with trailers loaded with "white gold" and decorated with national flags, carpets and banners arrived at the receiving points and cotton ginning enterprises in the provinces, TDH reports.

Cotton growing remains one of the key sectors of the agro-industrial complex of Turkmenistan, making a significant contribution to the country's economy. Favorable climatic conditions and state support contribute to the cultivation of high quality cotton.

In recent years, the agro-industrial sector of Turkmenistan has experienced steady growth due to the implementation of large-scale reforms initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and successfully continued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Modernization of agricultural infrastructure, introduction of innovative technologies and rational use of natural resources have significantly increased agricultural productivity.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has repeatedly emphasized the importance of timely and quality cotton harvesting campaign. For this purpose, the state provides agricultural producers with modern equipment, provides financial support and creates all necessary conditions for work.

In the field for uninterrupted work of the cotton harvesting conveyor, according to the instruction of the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov, round-the-clock technical and service maintenance of the operated equipment has been organized, proper conditions for productive work and proper rest of mechanizers, drivers and hand-picking masters have been created.

As part of the current celebrations, exhibitions of agricultural machinery, products of the agro-processing and textile industries were unfolded. Musicians and singers, dance and folklore groups performed a concert program. The best cotton growers were awarded valuable gifts on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Cotton fiber produced in Turkmenistan is in high demand in the world market. Today, the textile industry is actively developing, which contributes to the creation of new jobs and strengthening of the economy.
