Turkmenistan held a meeting with the Secretary General of TURKSOY

Head of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiev held a meeting with Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture Sultanbay Raev on September 4. This is reported by the online edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".

The sides discussed events in connection with the declaration of the ancient Turkmen city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world, as well as in honor of the 300th anniversary of Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi.
In the course of the meeting the priority directions of bilateral cooperation were defined. The interlocutors paid special attention to the preservation, study and popularization of the cultural heritage of Turkic peoples.

At the end of the meeting, the Secretary General of TURKSOY invited representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan to participate in the final events of TURKSOY-2024.
