Turkmen farmers start sowing winter wheat

Farmers in all velayats of Turkmenistan started sowing winter wheat on September 4 with the blessing of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. This is reported by the Internet edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".

Traditionally, the first grains of wheat were thrown into the ground by honorable elders who offered prayers for a rich harvest. Agronomists, mechanizers and representatives of velayat and etrap khakimliks, heads of daikhan associations, tenants and honorable elders took part in seminars held before the beginning of the sowing campaign. During the events, participants discussed modern agrotechnical methods and the use of best practices in the cultivation of cereal crops.

On the occasion of the beginning of the sowing season, an exhibition of agricultural products and machinery was held, and song and music performances were held.
