Charge d'Affaires of Afghanistan accredited in Turkmenistan

On Friday, July 26, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Faizal Muhammad Sabir, who has represented Afghanistan in Turkmenistan for many years, and handed him an accreditation document as Charge d'Affaires of Afghanistan in Turkmenistan. This is reported by Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

In the course of the conversation, the sides noted the friendly nature of bilateral ties. It was noted that the implementation of joint international projects in the energy, transport and infrastructure sectors is of particular importance.

Turkmenistan and Afghanistan are jointly involved in the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline, the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission line and fiber-optic communication line, and the railroad from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan.
