Turkmenistan celebrates International Novruz Day

These days, traditional festive events on the occasion of the national spring holiday - International Novruz Day - are being held all over the country. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

This holiday is inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on the basis of a resolution of the UN General Assembly. Novruz symbolizes the arrival of spring, the awakening of nature, and is associated with rebirth, prosperity and renewal of life.

On the occasion of the National Day, ceremonial events, exhibitions and concerts are organized in the country, which contributes to the strengthening of international cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed a congratulatory message to the Turkmen people, wishing the compatriots unity, peace, inspiration and happiness.
