During the visit of the delegation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to Turkmenistan, a cycle of trainings was held within the framework of the project "Support for the creation of a digital land cadastre". This is reported by the Internet publication "Vestiabad".
The seminars were attended by representatives of state agencies, including land surveyors and specialists on state land registration and assessment of structural subdivisions of the ministries. FAO representatives also met with the leadership of the agrarian department and conducted field visits to Akhal province.
In the course of the work started from the beginning of 2018, geolocation stations were installed, geodetic surveys were conducted using remote sensing equipment. The research results became the basis for the digital land cadastre of Turkmenistan. David Yeghiashvili, Doctor of Social Sciences from Georgia, spoke about institutional methods of combining different types of information.
