Training of medical professionals in the use of oxygen therapy was held in Turkmenistan

From June 1 to 7 of this year, medical specialists of Turkmenistan were trained in pediatric oxygen therapy. The training was organized by UNICEF jointly with the Turkmen Ministry of Medical Industry and Health. This is reported in the Internet publication "TurkmenPortal".

Training events were held on the basis of the Scientific-Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health in Ashgabat. The training participants, specialists of intensive care units, received important knowledge and skills on the use of medical oxygen and selection of optimal oxygen therapy for children.

Oxygen therapy is used in a wide range of clinical cases. Medical oxygen is needed in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases, in surgical practice, in obstetrics and traumatology.
