On November 15, a report on measures taken to develop the country's agro-industrial complex was delivered at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Turkmen capital. This is reported by the Internet portal "Westiabad.".
Tangryguly Atakhallyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, spoke about the progress of current agricultural works. He noted that wheat crops continue to be tended in order to ensure food security. It was stressed that much attention is paid to observance of agrotechnical norms on irrigation, fertilizer feeding, weed control.
Т. Atakhallyev also spoke about the completion of harvesting of cotton fields, as well as the harvesting of rice and sugar beet. Preparations are underway in the velayats of the country for spring sowing for the next year, and the harvested crops are being processed for further storage and delivery to the country's markets.
