International festival opened in Turkmen tourist zone

The opening ceremony of the International Dance and Folklore Festival "Avaza-2023" was held in the tourist zone "Avaza" on June 13. This is reported by the online edition of "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan. It is attended by representatives of international organizations and ministries, scientists and cultural figures from India, Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, Romania and Uzbekistan.

The opening ceremony began with an address by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. This was followed by a concert featuring folklore dances and songs in folk traditions of different states.

On June 14, in the building of the health center "Daýanç" a scientific and practical conference was held on folklore traditions and folk dances.

Many meetings and master classes in choreography are planned as part of the festival, and every evening there will be concerts by folklore groups. Excursions and boat trips are organized for guests.

The closing of the festival will take place on June 16. On this day, the awarding of diplomas and the final concert are scheduled.
