UNESCO Club opened at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute

Chinar Rustemova, PhD in Philosophy, Executive Secretary of Turkmenistan's National Commission for UNESCO, attended the opening of the UNESCO Club at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute in the city of Dashoguz, the daily Neutral Turkmenistan reported on March 29. The Club's profile is related to supporting UNESCO's core activities aimed at protecting the environment.

The chairman of the club, elected during the first meeting, was A. Musaev, a teacher of the Department of Social Sciences. Students, teachers and postgraduate students of the Institute became members of the organization.

This club is not the first such association in Turkmenistan. Previously, the UNESCO Club "Languages of the World" was established at the Turkmen Institute of World Languages and the Club "Culture of Peace" at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. UNESCO Chairs have also been established in two universities of the country.
