The 3rd Asian Junior Tennis Tournament for athletes under 14 years old under the aegis of the Asian Tennis Federation has ended in Doha, where Turkmen tennis players took the entire podium. Young athletes from more than 20 countries took part in the competition. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."
Twelve-year-old tennis player from Turkmenistan Ali Geldiev made it to the main net and, having won five times, became the winner of the junior tournament. Suleyman Khudayberdiyev took the second place in the decisive match against his teammate Ali Geldiev. The third place went to 14-year-old Emirkhan Rustamov, a pupil of the Ashgabat Tennis Academy. Ali Geldiyev also won the gold award in a pair with Yunus Annamyradov.
Among girls, the entire podium was occupied by Turkmen athletes - Ilima Huseynova took the first place, Ainur Annamyradova - the second and Aylara Kakabaeva - the third. The pair of Ilima Huseynova and Aylara Kakabaeva took the first place in doubles.
