Turkmen athletes took part in the open championship of Central Asia among boys and girls under 17 years old and showed excellent results. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."
The Turkmen national team won 13 medals of different values - 11 silver and 2 bronze medals. Turkmenistan was represented by 6 weightlifters, 5 of whom won awards. A. Azamatov in the weight category up to 49 kg, K. Annamyradov in the weight category up to 67 kg and O. Babaniyazova in the weight category up to 55 kg won three silver medals each. G. Orazova in the weight category over 71 kg won two silver and bronze awards. S. Atadjanov won a bronze medal in the weight category over 81 kg.
44 weightlifters from 6 countries took part in the tournament.
