Qatar joins the Sustainable Transport Group, established at the initiative of Turkmenistan

The State of Qatar has joined the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport established on the initiative of Turkmenistan. This is reported by the Internet publication "TurkmenPortal.

The Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport was established in 2022 by the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN. In April this year, the first ministerial meeting was convened at the UN Headquarters in New York.

The Alliance provides a platform for multilateral cooperation to promote affordable, accessible and quality transportation systems. The Group's activities are aimed at uniting efforts within the framework of the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport. More than 15 countries are members of the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport.
