During the FIFA training seminar in Doha, former head coach of London Arsenal soccer club Arsene Wenger recorded a video message to soccer fans from Turkmenistan. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.
In his message, Wenger expressed his wish for Turkmenistan to become a great soccer country. He noted that great successes always start with the upbringing of children.
During the training event in Doha, Rovshan Meredov, FIFA technical expert, former coach of Turkmenistan's Akhal Club, presented Wenger with a gift - a handmade Turkmen carpet. During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the development of children's soccer in the world and in Turkmenistan.
In 2020 Rovshan Meredov passed the AFC PRO coaching license exam and has the right to coach with clubs in any country.
