Jurassic coral stone added to the collection of the State Museum of Turkmenistan

Specialists of the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas handed over to the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan a stone with corals, belonging to the Jurassic period, discovered during geological works in Koytendag. This is reported by the State Publishing Service of Turkmenistan.

As noted, the new exhibit complements the natural and geographical section of the museum, which presents historical monuments found on the territory of Turkmenistan. Among them are fossil marine creatures that lived in the Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras - ammonites, belemnites, echinoderms, brychonods and mollusks, as well as a shark tooth from the Tethys Sea era.
