On October 14, 2022, the city of Astana, Kazakhstan, will host the Central Asia-Russia Summit. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov is also expected to attend. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
"During the high-level meeting, the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Russia will hold a six-party meeting to discuss the prospects of friendly relations and strategic cooperation," the statement said.
The meeting is expected to result in the adoption of a joint declaration of the heads of states, which will include important issues of regional cooperation in the Eurasian space.
The final document will also reflect the prospects for further cooperation in the spheres of politics and security, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
As previously reported, Turkmen President Serdar Berdymukhamedov will pay his first state visit to Kazakhstan on October 15.
Note that this summit will be the first meeting of the heads of Russia and the countries of the Central Asian region.
