Conference in honor of the Turkmen poet was held in Bishkek

An international scientific conference "Contribution of Makhtumkuli Fraghi's works to the world literature" was held in Bishkek on October 23 in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Turkmen poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

The guests of the event were deputy ministers of foreign affairs, education and science of Kyrgyzstan, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Kyrgyzstan, scientists, experts, political scientists and literature lovers. The forum discussed issues related to Makhtumkuli's work and his influence on literature and culture both in Central Asia and in the world.

The significance of the international forum held in Ashgabat on October 11 in honor of the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli was noted. The presentation of a collection of poems by Makhtumkuli translated into Kyrgyz language was held as part of the event.
