Journalist Galina Gurbanova, the author of the project "Travels in the nature reserves of Turkmenistan", told about the species of flora and fauna protected in the Kopetdag State Reserve. This is reported by the Internet edition "CentralAsia.news".
Many species of birds are found in the territory of the reserve, including the small Iranian warbler, peregrine falcon, merganser, white-throated thrush, Muscovy, common buzzard and others. The rich fauna of the reserve includes such animal species as kulan, bezoar goats, honeyeaters, bandages and porcupines, as well as leopards, leopards, striped hyenas.
About a thousand species of trees, shrubs and herbs grow in the Kopetdag Nature Reserve. The healing properties of many of them are described in the book "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan" by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Leopard and leopard are the same cat. And the snow leopard does not live in Turkmenistan.
