A seminar on management of protected natural areas was held in the town of Seydi, Lebap province. This is reported by the Internet publication "AsmanNews.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Amu Darya State Nature Reserve, staff of the Lebap Department of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, and representatives of the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO.
In the course of the workshop, the development of basic management methods for the Amu Darya Reserve and Kelif Zakaznik was discussed. The workshop was held within the framework of the joint project of the Ministry of Environment of Turkmenistan and UNDP "Conservation and sustainable management of land resources and ecosystems with high natural value in the Aral Sea basin for multiple benefits".
