The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the head of the ICRC Regional Representation in Central Asia

On December 13, Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Biljana Milosevic, head of the Regional Representative Office of the CMMM, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate in the events in honor of the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the status of permanent neutrality in the country. In the course of the conversation, the sides reviewed the activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Central Asian region and Turkmenistan. The parties considered topical aspects of promoting international humanitarian law in the national Turkmen legislation.

The interlocutors also focused on the plans of cooperation between the ICRC and the Turkmen Government for the coming year. The possibilities of organizing lectures and courses on international humanitarian law in Turkmenistan's higher educational institutions were discussed.
