The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a briefing on climate issues

Today during the briefing in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan the topics "Establishment of the Regional Center on Climate Technologies for Central Asia in Ashgabat" and "Development of Renewable Energy Sources in Turkmenistan" were discussed. The event was attended by representatives of Turkmenistan's agencies, international organizations and foreign diplomatic missions. Deputy Foreign Minister Myahri Byashimova announced the main directions and objectives of the future Regional Center for Climate Technologies. UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko noted the importance of the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan in this area.
