A scientific conference was held in the Turkmen city of Anau

The international scientific conference "Ancient Culture of Anau" dedicated to the declaration of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world was held in the House of Culture of the city of Anau in Ak Bugday district of Akhal province. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by historians, archaeologists, ethnographers, orientalists, professors and young scientists, representatives of museums from the United States, the Russian Federation, Germany, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and other countries.

A visit to the ancient fortress of Anau and the Seyit Dzhemaletdin Mosque was organized for foreign guests. A special guest who spoke during the plenary session was Lisa Pampelli, great-granddaughter of archaeologist Rafael Pampelli. The scientist's discoveries became the basis for further research into the culture of Ancient Anau.
