A scientific and practical conference was held in the Turkmen city of Anau

The scientific-practical conference "Ancient Anau - the birthplace of white wheat" was held in the city of Anau, Akhal province. This is reported by the online edition of Vestiabad.ru.

The forum was held at the National Museum "Ak Bugday" and timed to coincide with the announcement of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. The guests of the event were representatives of the older generation, historians, cultural figures and artists.

An exhibition of handicrafts, Turkmen carpets and handicraft instruments was organized in parallel to the forum. An interesting accompaniment to the event was the performance of song and music compositions by Turkmen cultural masters.

During the forum, the issues of existence of the most ancient civilization on the territory of Anau city were raised. Fossilized wheat grains and other archaeological artifacts found here are stored in the Ak Bugday Museum.
