The names of the best women artists have been named in Turkmenistan. The event, during which the winners of the creative contest were announced, was held at the Ashgabat Exhibition Center. It is particularly symbolic that the awards ceremony was held on the eve of International Women's Day.
The contest among representatives of the beautiful half of humanity who decided to devote their lives to creativity has become a good tradition in Turkmenistan. Both beginners and experienced masters presented their female view on the world in canvases, sculptures and other things fascinating by their beauty. The visitors of the Exhibition Center, who decided to look at the works of contestants, as if they were transported into the colorful world of spring and love.
At the beginning of the event the names of the winners were announced. The first place was shared between the artist Aijahan Babatadzheva with her painting "Mother's Love" and the ceramist Dilbar Umarova, who created a multi-figure composition "At the Bazaar".
The "women's" exhibition opens with "Toy" by Guljahan Mammadmuradova. In the center of the painting are dashing dzhigits riding fast graceful akhaltek women. The painting brings a sense of solemnity to the exhibition atmosphere.
Guncha Yazmukhamedova, who adopted her skills from the Turkmen national artist Chary Amangeldyev, made her four paintings in the genre of surrealism. One of her canvases, Domes, is impressive in its metaphorical nature. The little girl seems to be seated on an elevated position and looks out from there at the domes spread around her, glittering with gilt.
Mahym Atakova, a freshman at the State Academy of Fine Arts, shared her thoughts on family values. In her painting "Favorite Grandmother" the artist immortalized her neighbor, who is almost 100 years old. The artist notes that the heroine of her painting remains vivacious and open to the world even at this age. Years have given her wisdom and have not yet taken away her strength and desire to do household chores.
Second place went to Natalia Kalugina. She submitted a landscape "Gerkez" for the contest. The painting depicts the native village of the famous poet of Turkmenistan, Makhtumkuli Fraghi, which stretches across the picturesque valley of Sumbar, protected from the winds by the Kopetdag mountain ranges.
Visitors to the exhibition were also interested in the women's jewelry. The handiwork with national coloring was given the symbolic name "Oguzkhan's daughters-in-law" by its author.
The vivid conclusion of the festive event was a musical greeting to the upcoming holiday from the famous singer Murad Divanaev.
