The final stage of the annual "Student Beauty" contest was held, resulting in the announcement of the names of Turkmenistan's most beautiful female students. The event was held on the eve of International Women's Day and was held at the Center of Public Associations in the capital. The contest was organized by the Central Councils of the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization and the Union of Women, as well as the Ministry of Education. Female students demonstrated their knowledge of folk traditions, culture, customs, as well as the beauty of manners and female characters.
Twenty-one participants competed for the victory in Student Beauty 2021. All of them represented universities of Turkmenistan. The competitors had to cope with three tasks. In the first task, the girls were to demonstrate achievements of modern times, their respect for Turkmen women and girls, as well as their creative abilities. The themes of performances (singing songs, reciting poems and acting out skits) were directly related to the main motto 2021, "Turkmenistan, the Motherland of Peace and Trust".
The second section of the event allowed the students to demonstrate their talents in cooking. The girls had to slice unash noodles, checking their actions against the book "Blessed Turkmen Table" by the Leader of the Turkmen Nation.
The third stage of the contest was dedicated to embroidery. In it the finalists tried to show their talents as much as possible.
The winner of the "Student Beauty - 2021" contest was determined by a panel of specialized judges. Gulnaz Ataeva, a fourth-year student of Makhtumkuli Turkmen State University, won the main award.
The second place was shared between three participants at once. First-year students Gurbanberdiyeva Merzhen and Aynur Kuliyeva, studying at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction and the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, respectively. As well as sophomore Shirin Dovranmyradova, a student at the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi.
Third place was also distributed among three contestants of Turkmenistan Gizylgul Seisova, a third-year student of the Turkmen State Energy Institute. Guldzhemal Amandurdyeva, a first-year student at the State Energy Institute of Culture, and Ogulnabat, a fourth-year student at Turkmenistan's Niyazov Agricultural University, won third place. The winners were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts. In addition, the organizers gave incentive prizes.
