Ombudsman of Turkmenistan meets with UNICEF Head of Mission

On December 4, 2024, the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan Y. Gurbannazarova held a meeting with the Head of the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) office in Turkmenistan Jalpa Ratna. This is reported by the online edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of cooperation, paying special attention to issues related to activities for the protection of children's rights. The Head of Mission emphasized that work in this area in Turkmenistan is carried out at a high level, which is directly related to the activities of the Ombudsman's Office as a neutral institution protecting human rights in the country. At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors expressed their willingness to expand bilateral cooperation.
