In Samarkand, an important political and cultural center of Uzbekistan and all of Central Asia, a bilateral meeting was held between a representative of the European Union and the head of the Turkmen delegation, Vep Khadzhiev.
During the working meeting they discussed issues of regional and mutually beneficial cooperation in the framework of environmental cooperation.
The main issue on the agenda was to discuss further work on reducing global methane emissions into the atmosphere.
The European Union is ready to cooperate with Turkmenistan as a long-term and reliable partner. Green energy requires relentless monitoring by the agencies concerned, because the environmental safety of the world is an issue that deserves special discussion and action to create a safe life on earth.
The Turkmen side assured the guests of the meeting that it intends to further develop friendly bilateral relations with the European Union, taking an active part in the implementation of projects to develop green energy.
