Turkmenistan's Mission to the UN organized an event on sustainable transport

On July 17, the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN organized and held an event "Sustainable Urban Transport: Preparations for the UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting on Sustainable Transport and the Arkadag City Model for SDG 11". This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by representatives of the UN, ESCAP, UN-Habitat, UNECE, UNIDO, UNEP, SLOCAT and other international communities.

The Turkmen delegation proposed that joint meetings of the Friends of Sustainable Transport and the Friends of UN-Habitat be held to strengthen sustainable urban transport.
The event was followed by meetings of the Turkmen delegation with the Executive Director of UN-Habitat and the Deputy Executive Secretary of UNECE.
