On January 7, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, TDH reports.
In the course of the conversation the prospects of expanding and deepening bilateral financial and economic cooperation were discussed.
The CEO expressed gratitude for the hospitable reception and emphasized that Saudi Arabia attaches importance to the development of mutually beneficial partnership with Turkmenistan. The President of Turkmenistan, in turn, noted that Al-Marshad's visit will contribute to the intensification of cooperation, especially in such key areas as health, transportation, communications and finance.
Noting the successful interaction within the framework of joint projects, the parties emphasized that the participation of the Saudi Fund in the implementation of major national and international initiatives benefits not only Turkmenistan but also the countries of the region as a whole.
The sides also discussed the development of Turkmenistan's investment attractiveness and the continuation of joint projects.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and General Executive Director of the Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad exchanged wishes for success in their future activities and expressed readiness to continue mutually beneficial cooperation.

On the same day, the delegation of the Saudi Fund for Development headed by the General Executive Director Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad held a meeting with the management of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Turkmenistan, where the issues of further development of bilateral partnership were discussed and relevant documents were signed between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Saudi Fund for Development.
