On January 7, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Stanislav Chepurny, who presented his credentials to the head of state, TDH reports.
The Ambassador thanked Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the opportunity to meet and conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the President of Turkmenistan, as well as to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Hero-Arkadag from President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who reiterated his country's readiness to further develop friendly relations with Turkmenistan. Stanislav Chepurny expressed confidence that the continuation of the active interstate dialog will contribute to the deepening of bilateral cooperation.
The meeting continued with an interested exchange of views on the current state and prospects of Turkmen-Belarusian relations based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, trust and constructive partnership. In this regard, it was noted with satisfaction that our countries actively cooperate not only in bilateral but also in multilateral format, within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the UN and the CIS.
The meeting paid special attention to humanitarian cooperation, including in the fields of education, science, culture and sports, which contributes to the strengthening of friendly ties between the peoples of the two countries.
In turn, Stanislav Chepurny expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen the traditional and mutually beneficial relations between Turkmenistan and Belarus.
