The President of Turkmenistan inspected the ANSAT medical helicopter purchased from the Russian Federation. The light multipurpose ANSAT helicopter, equipped to provide emergency medical care, was manufactured by the Kazan Helicopter Plant on the order received from Türkmenhowaýollary.

The helicopter can reach speeds of up to 275 km/h (cruising speed - 250 km/h), cover the distance of 510 km without refueling (practical distance with the guaranteed fuel balance 10-15%). Thanks to a special equipment the helicopter can land in mountains, sands, deserts, hard-to-get-at places. Due to the above features this model favourably differs from special-purpose helicopters already available in the territory of Turkmenistan.
After familiarizing himself with the equipment and its characteristics, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the head of "Türkmenhowaýollary" and the head of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry to study the possibility of purchasing such helicopter transport for the country's regions.
