Yesterday, Serdar Berdymukhamedov launched a nationwide tree-planting campaign in honor of the spring festival of Novruz Bayramy. The presidential vehicle was welcomed by the Chairmen of the Khalk Maslakhat Milli Gengesh and the Majlis Milli Gengesh, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, representatives of various ministries and departments, as well as Ashgabat residents in the territory of Berkarlyk etrap of Ashgabat. Many young people took part in the action.
Performances of artists and musicians gave a special flavor and festive atmosphere. Serdar Berdymukhamedov warmly greeted the audience and planted the first tree, thus giving the start to the large-scale ecological greening campaign.
All participants of the event followed the example of the head of state. Similar mass events were held throughout the country, marking the unity of the Turkmen people and their loyalty to the spiritual national values, the most important of which is caring for the native nature.
