On October 28, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev and khakims of velayats of the country. The agenda included issues of work in the agrarian sector in the regions and implementation of the National Rural Program, TDH reports.
During the meeting, the provincial governors reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns.
As reported, everything necessary is being done to ensure optimal collection of grown cotton with subsequent uninterrupted transportation and reception by specialized points and enterprises.
At the same time, wheat sowing continues in the region: efforts are made to complete it according to the agronomic calendar. Machinery and units are working at full capacity, vegetation irrigation is carried out on the sown fields.
Heads of regional administrations also reported on measures taken to maintain the proper functioning of heating systems at enterprises, departments, educational and pre-school institutions, housing and social facilities, on the pace of construction of social and industrial infrastructure, which are scheduled to be commissioned this year under the National Rural Program.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev reported on the pace of seasonal activities in the agricultural sector of the country.
As reported, efforts are being made to ensure a loss-free harvest of cotton and its uninterrupted delivery to receiving points and cotton ginning plants. At the same time, special attention is paid to maintaining uninterrupted functioning of agricultural and transportation equipment.
At the same time, wheat sowing is at the final stage: vegetation watering of sown fields and subsequent care of seedlings are carried out according to the norms of agrotechnics.
Rice harvesting continues in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats: everything necessary is being done for uninterrupted delivery and proper storage of incoming crop to the receiving points. Care of sugar beet in the fields of Mary region has been completed, now they have started harvesting.
Summarizing the report and emphasizing the key role of the agricultural sector in the structure of the national economy, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep under control the proper implementation of seasonal activities.
Addressing the participants of the working meeting, the President of Turkmenistan focused attention on the ongoing responsible agricultural campaign - cotton harvest. In this regard, the President emphasized the importance of taking targeted measures to increase the pace of the white harvest, collect raw cotton in the shortest possible time and without losses, as well as the efficiency of work of harvesters and other machinery, specialized enterprises and reception centers. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep under constant control the timely and quality fulfillment of these tasks.
